Standard therapy is great, but sometimes 50 minutes just isn’t enough...
Tamara Tridle, LCSW | Owner
Healing from deep-seated trauma or feeling 'lost' in the cycle of burn-out shouldn't have to take years of weekly appointments. I’m Tamara Tridle, LCSW, and I’ve dedicated my work to helping women reclaim their lives from childhood trauma and the weight of unhealthy relationships. I specialize in EMDR Intensives because I’ve seen how transformative it is to give yourself the dedicated time and space to finally process the past and take back control. My goal is to provide a safe, focused environment at our Punta Gorda office where you can rediscover who you are and move forward with confidence—because you matter.
An EMDR Intensive is a commitment to yourself, so the space you do it in should feel supportive. Our Punta Gorda office is designed as a sanctuary from the daily noise. It’s a calm, neutral ground where you can step away from your 'normal' life and responsibilities for a few hours. I’ve made sure it’s a place where you can feel grounded and safe while we do the work of helping you move forward.
Why Choose an EMDR Intensive?
Skip the "Startup" Time
In a normal session, by the time you really settle in and start opening up, it’s almost time to leave. An intensive removes that. We stay in the work as long as we need to, making sure we actually finish what we start. This focus lets your brain do what it does best: heal.
Real Healing Without the "Therapy Hangover”
It’s hard to open up a deep, painful memory and then have to go straight back to work or pick up the kids 10 minutes later. Intensives give us the space to process things completely. We work at your pace, making sure you leave feeling lighter and grounded, not just "opened up" and left to deal with it on your own.
Your Investment in Healing
Healing shouldn't be a "one size fits all" process. Because everyone’s journey is different, we offer flexible scheduling that allows us to dive deep without the constraints of a standard 50-minute hour. Whether you want to complete your treatment in a single week or spread your sessions out, we work at the pace that feels right for your life and your nervous system.

Yes, and the research is very encouraging. Studies, including those published in the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research, show that intensive EMDR can produce results equal to or even greater than months of weekly therapy, but in a much shorter timeframe. By reducing the "relapse" time between sessions and keeping the brain in a focused state of processing, clients often find they can move through complex trauma with less distress. At Dandelion Therapy Group, Tamara uses this evidence-based approach to help women achieve significant breakthroughs in days rather than years.

EMDR Intensives are a specialized, private-pay service. Because they don't follow the traditional "one-hour-per-week" model required by most insurance companies, they are not typically covered by standard plans. However, this allows us to work at your pace without the time constraints or diagnostic requirements often mandated by insurance, ensuring your treatment is based entirely on your needs.

If you feel like you’ve hit a plateau in weekly therapy, or if you simply don't have months to spend in the "start-and-stop" cycle of traditional sessions, an intensive is often the best path forward. This format is especially effective for women dealing with childhood trauma, recent crisis, or the "burn-out" that comes from long-term stress. We’ll start with a consultation to make sure this accelerated format feels safe and right for you.
