Alexis Wilson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Alexis is passionate about encouraging and supporting clients through life’s challenges. She has 5+ years of experience serving individuals and families through counseling, group therapy, and residential treatment programs. Her educational background, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, gives her a unique interdisciplinary perspective on how individuals and the systems around them influence one another.
Her practice focuses on supporting adults and adolescents with ADHD and autism, anxiety and life transitions, trauma, relationship and attachment issues, and a history of suicidal thoughts or self-harm. Though she specializes in LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming care, she welcomes clients from all backgrounds and identities.
Alexis takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from CBT, DBT, person-centered, and psychodynamic therapies. She regularly seeks out additional training to build her competence in evidence-based approaches and better serve diverse populations. She currently has plans to work toward certifications in ERP and EMDR to meet the growing demand for these specialized treatment modalities.
Above all, Alexis is committed to creating a safe space where people feel comfortable being vulnerable. She strives to practice with cultural responsiveness, recognizing how a person’s lived experiences shape who they are today. She emphasizes collaboration and prioritizes helping clients build resilience and develop the skills to create and sustain meaningful change in their own lives.
