Are you looking for a counselor to help your struggling elementary school-age child? After completing a Master’s Degree from Syracuse University, Kathy has had a previous career as a School Counselor in elementary schools. At Dandelion Therapy Group, she continues to help children facing life’s transitions and challenges. Kathy implements a client-centered framework and utilizes a range of evidence-based approaches. She sees the therapeutic process through a strengths-based lens and utilizes TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) when needed. Kathy has worked with numerous clients with ADHD, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, grief/loss, transition struggles, and relationship stress. The therapeutic process utilizes toys and tactile play materials to facilitate healing and growth. Underlying the process is the firm belief in the resiliency of all children.
